I was hired to shoot a UFL (United Football League) game the other night in East Hartford. Its a new pro league trying to compete with the NFL. I thought it was great… hard hitting action, players that had real passion for the game. All that was different from the NFL was the crowd… hopefully...
UConn vs Rutgers game on Saturday Oct 31, 2009. Rutgers player holding his head is wide receiver Tim Brown. He made the game winning touchdown in the last seconds of the game. UConn was desperate to make the win in honor of their teammate Jasper Howard who was killed two weeks prior but Brown stole it away from them with literally seconds left in the game. Brown was the childhood friend of Jasper, living just doors away as they grew up. The image shows Brown and his possible realization that he took the win away from his friend Jasper while his teammates celebrate behind him singing their Alma Mater.
